Cristiano Ronaldo has broken the record for the most goals scored in a single season of the Saudi Pro League, scoring 35 goals.
He surpassed the previous record of 34 goals held by Abderrazak Hamdallah.
Ronaldo expressed his pride on Twitter, stating, “I don’t follow the records, the records follow me.”
His performance included goals in the first half stoppage time and the 69th minute with a header in Al Nassr’s 4-2 win against Al Ittihad.
Despite finishing second in the league, Ronaldo’s record-breaking season was a highlight.
Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr in December 2022 attracted other overseas players to the Saudi league.
With numerous achievements in his career, including leading Portugal to victory at the 2016 Euros, Ronaldo continues to excel in international football.
