D’banj is preparing to commemorate 20 years since he started his career by releasing a new single.
D’banj announced on his Instagram page that he is releasing a new single called ‘Since 04’, commemorating the beginning of his career 20 years ago.
In a post shared on April 24, 2024, D’banj reflected on his successful career spanning two decades and many significant moments. The award-winning artist recently headlined the Trace Live event to celebrate his 20th year on stage. He described his upcoming single, set for release on May 3, 2024, as one of his favorite tracks yet since it represents 2004, the year of his debut. D’banj, also known as Koko Master, honored the Mo’hit crew, including Don Jazzy, Wande Coal, D Prince, Dr. Sid, and Kayswitch, referring to them as his brothers and highlighting the strong team they formed.
The Afrobeats icon also thanked all those who played a role in his journey and also apologised to those who he might have wronged on the way.

When I look back at my journey as your favourite entertainer, many names pop up in my mind for their various contributions to D’banj. Today, I celebrate Mo’ Hits.. the group and our team. What a SOLID team we had. Don Jazzy, Wande Coal, Dr. Sid, D’Prince, and Kay Switch. My brothers were the best! Together we elevated this game and showed them things that could happen.
We’ve spent many years focusing on the blame game but I’m not playing that game anymore.
If you feel I wronged you at any time, forgive me. The philosopher in me is grateful for everything that went right and those that went wrong.
