Dice Ailes, a Nigerian musician whose real name is Shasha Damilola Alesh, has promoted cultural preservation and unity among the Yoruba youth in South-West Nigeria.
Dice Ailes, who has ties to the Oyo royal family, made a statement in Lagos during a visit by the newly crowned Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, from Abuja.
The Aseyin also met with the Oniru of Iru, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbbolahan Lawal during the visit. Dice Ailes stressed the significance of these royal encounters in promoting cultural exchange across various Yoruba regions.
He pointed out how these interactions help preserve the Yoruba heritage by adapting traditional practices to modern times, including the use of social media to connect with a wider audience while upholding core values and customs.
Dice Ailes emphasized that incorporating Yoruba language, sounds, and cultural elements into his music showcased his dedication to preserving culture.
