Rivers State Governor Siminalayi fubara hosted a state banquet at Government House Port Harcourt to commemorate his first year in office.
A book on Rivers State at 57 was unveiled during the banquet, honoring the state’s creation.
Governor Fubara attributed the achievements of his administration to the strong backing of the people and divine approval.
The banquet served as a gesture of appreciation to all Rivers stakeholders who have championed truth and backed the Governor’s efforts in advancing the state.
“We will make this state proud. We are a government that is interested in the development of the people, it takes love for the state to embark on Trans Kalabari Road project, which cost the government over N225bn. This is to show our commitment, and we believe that when the road is completely delivered, development will come to our people in this area.”
“We also believe that when this project is delivered security issues will be resolved, development will come to our people in remote areas that you can only traverse through sea, issues of water pirates will be gone, including the issue of boat mishaps that we keep recording.”
Governor Fubara assured his administration’s commitment to reviving the education and health sectors to enhance service delivery, providing the people with access to quality education and effective healthcare.
