Helen Paul, a well-known Nigerian comedienne, has stirred up controversy with her proposal that women’s salaries should be deposited directly into their husbands’ bank accounts.
In an Instagram post, Paul asked other women for their opinions on the matter. She stated:
“I think women’s salaries should be paid directly to their husband’s bank account. My fellow women, what do you think?”
The post generated varied responses, as some women agreed while others expressed their disagreement in the comments section.

Helen Paul rose to fame as the mischievous comic character “Tatafo“ on the well-loved Nigerian radio show, Wetin Dey on Radio Continental 102.3FM in Lagos. Her debut album, “Welcome Party,” dropped in July 2012, featuring catchy Afro-Pop tunes like “Boju Boju,” “Vernacular,” “Gbedu,” and “God Forbid.” Additionally, the album included an Afro RnB track named “Children of the World” and “Use Calculator,” a poignant song addressing the HIV/AIDS crisis.
