Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, known as Basketmouth, humorously commented on the dominance of Davido’s wedding on social media, subtly referencing singer Wizkid in the process.
He mentioned that promoting his show at the moment would be challenging due to the spotlight being on Davido’s wedding.
He observed that not even Wizkid’s recent social media controversy managed to garner much attention, as everyone’s focus was on Davido and Chioma’s wedding.
On his Instagram account, Basketmouth wrote;
“Davido’s wedding has taken over the social media space.
“Except you want us to start using Chivido2024 to promote the show. Which I don’t think will work.
“Because, even Wizkid wey throw shade, nobody send am.”
Afric Showbiz reports that Wizkid recently caused an buzz after he tweets “Lol [lots of laughs]” moments after Davido released his pre-wedding photos with Chioma.
He shared a tweet expressing prayers for all understanding women, which some fans saw as directed at Chioma, who has been supportive of Davido despite infidelity allegations.
However, Wizkid clarified that people were misinterpreting his tweets.
